After quite some time of begging mom to begin showing in Juniors, Kevin finally got his chance in 2023 with an English Setter. He quickly decided that the big dogs weren't his style, and found his love with Miniature American Shepherds. Thanks to AKC dissolving the ownership requirement, Kevin has had the opportunity to work with several breeds and enjoys Shetland Sheepdogs as his secondary interest.
Kevin is active in performance events and won his age group in Ultimate Performance at the 2024 MASCUSA National Specialty with Brooks. He is frequently ranked among the top in the country in MAS through AKC in a variety of events.
Dice was to be Kevin's first Juniors dog, although he was only able to show her one weekend. Despite only being 2 years old, she had a chronic lung issue that affected her quality of life. Through multiple vet visits, medications, and imaging, we finally had to let her go after just a short year of having her in our hearts.
We are thankful for the many breeders, owners, and handlers who have offered to let Kevin borrow a dog over the years, especially when he was waiting for a permanent juniors dog. He has gained such valuable experiences and new friendships!
